In a quiet week between two busy weekends Chester played away against Ellesmere on Tuesday, 12 May, in the NW golf croquet handicap league. The result was an 11 – 7 win for Ellesmere. Everyone faced a major weather challenge with continuous drizzle interspersed with downpours in the morning but it was a cordial match. Individual games were much closer than the overall result would suggest and, despite a disappointing result for Chester, the team played well and there were some standout individual results.
