Welcome to new members – Chester Croquet Club

Following a successful Taster Day for newcomers to croquet on Saturday, 19 April, the Club is delighted to welcome twelve new members.

Headlines

If the lawns are wet and soft after heavy rain check before playing. Try the ‘squelch test’ ─ don’t play if water appears when a foot is pressed into the lawns ! After an exceptionally dry spring and heat waves during the summer, we do need some rain … and it’s now come!

A date for your diaries. The annual dinner and presentation of trophies will be on Tuesday, 11 November, at 6.30 pm at Chez Jules in Northgate Street.

There are continuing scam e-mails purporting to come from club members. Usual give-aways are an unusual or unlikely request and an unfamiliar e-mail address. Do not reply, do not open attachments, do not click on any links, and delete.
