Headlines

Following latest government announcements about planned relaxations of current covid restrictions local club games are expected to restart on Monday, 29 March. More details will be posted in due course.

The 2021 AGM was held on-line using Zoom on Friday, 26 February 2021. Officers and committee were re-appointed and subscriptions for 2021 were approved. For more details see the AGM agenda and papers in the members only area.

Once again the Club is looking for volunteers to help during the coming season. More

Paper copies of the latest February issue of the Croquet Gazette have been posted and a digital edition is available to members at the CA website. Club members wishing to receive a paper copy need to upgrade to Supporter Member.

If you thought December was wet, January was even wetter, 112 mm of rain compared with 82 mm. But it rained on only 24 days out of 31 compared with 29 days out of 31 in December.

Croquet lawns now closed during the current lockdown. More

We are very sad to report the death of Liz Subramanian on 31 December following a serious stroke. She joined the club in 2009 and was a keen and popular GC player and always willing to help with club tasks.

Check out the new CroquetDev website by Paddy Chapman as a resource for learning and improving AC play. Some excellent pictures and graphics.

Yet more scam e-mail messages purporting to come from members of the club are being reported. Stay alert and delete!
