Twelve members of Chester Croquet Club played in the Hibiscus competition on Saturday 12th September. This is an annual internal event for beginners or those who have high handicaps in association croquet. It was a hugely enjoyable event, though occasionally a bit wet, and ably organised by one of the club coaches Elmyr Hughes. All competitors played four matches during the day, and the person with the most wins lifted the trophy. The winner was Sally Slater with four wins, with the runner ups Brian Walton and Sarah Andrew who notched up three wins each.
