Chester hosts friendly games with local clubs

In glorious September sunshine on Thursday, 27 September, Chester hosted friendly golf croquet games with two local clubs, Craig-y-Don at Llandudno and Tattenhall.

Lawns closed for autumn lawn maintenance from Friday, 11 October, to Sunday, 13 October.

After beating Ashby, Durham and Watford in earlier rounds, Chester lost 2 – 4 to Sussex County in the final of the national Croquet England Murphy Inter-Club level play golf croquet competition at Wrest Park on Sunday, 6 October.

Chester come first in this year’s NW Federation Advanced B-Level association croquet league and second in the level play golf croquet league. More

If the lawns are wet and soft after heavy rain check before playing. Try the ‘squelch test’ ─ don’t play if water appears when a foot is pressed into the lawns !
